Formula Worksheet Maker is a free, browser-based math worksheet generator with auto-graded answer keys and printable certificates. Drag in a formula, configure the value ranges, and generate an auto-graded student test page, a questions PDF, and a certificate. No account, and nothing uploads.
What the terms mean
- Parametric formula
- A formula whose inputs are drawn from a range you set, rather than typed one problem at a time. Choose “area of a circle” and a radius range of 3 to 12, and the tool generates a fresh set of problems inside that range every time you press generate.
- Value range
- The smallest and largest number a generated problem may use. Narrow, round ranges keep the arithmetic easy; wider ranges make the sheet harder — so one formula covers several grade levels.
- Auto-graded answer key
- Because the tool generated the numbers, it already knows every answer. Each sheet ships with its key, and the on-screen student page checks answers against it.
- Unique version per student
- Regenerating draws new values from the same ranges, so every student can get a different sheet testing the identical skill.
How it works
- Drag a formula out of the library onto the sheet. Six are built in, across Mathematics and Economics, and the set is extensible.
- Set each variable's range with the sliders, steppers or number inputs, and write the problem text with
{symbol}placeholders. - Switch to DEMO mode to see the worksheet exactly as a student will.
- Export the questions PDF, save the auto-graded student test page, and print the certificate once every problem has been answered.
Built-in formulas
Each worksheet is generated from a named, friendly formula — pick one, set the ranges, and every student gets a fresh set of problems with an answer key:
- Area of a circle (A = π × r²)
- Area of a rectangle (A = l × w)
- Area of a triangle (A = ½ × b × h)
- Volume of a sphere (V = ⁴⁄₃ × π × r³)
- Pythagorean theorem (c = √(a² + b²))
- Compound interest (A = P × (1 + r/100)ᵗ)
